ISU’S COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ACCREDITED BY NATIONAL EDUCATION GROUP

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University’s College of Business has earned re-accreditation by the AACSB – The International Association for Management Education. The group represents colleges, universities, businesses and organizations committed to excellence in management education.

"Accreditation by the AACSB demonstrates the college’s commitment to improving and expanding undergraduate and graduate education programs," said Benjamin Allen, dean of the College of Business. "Only 340 of the1500 collegiate business schools in the U.S. and Europe have earned this recognition. Iowa State University has held this accreditation since 1991."

The College of Business was noted in five areas: Percentage of courses taught by full-time faculty; an active Business Advisory Council; progress in developing academic programs; positive work environment; and gains in entrepreneurial education through partnership with the Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, an outreach arm of the college.
