IOWA ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE TO HOST MEASURABLE MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMS IN MARCH

AMES, Iowa --The Iowa Organizational Leadership Institute will sponsor seven informational Measurable Management seminars during March.

Created by Robin Byrne in his native England through his work with Xerox Corp., Measurable Management produces improved profits by combining leadership development and strategic planning implementation. Byrne is in the United States to oversee the launch of the program here.

Iowa is one of the first states to offer this program through the institute, which is sponsored by Iowa State University and the Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The Iowa SBDC is an arm of Iowa State's College of Business.

Measurable Management results are measured against objectives set by company leaders. Both large firms, such as Rolls Royce and Chicago Rawhide Industries, as well as many small- and mid-sized organizations, have successfully used Measurable Management. Results come from identified cost savings, increased productivity, improved efficiency, reduced waste and other target areas.

The Measurable Management program began in the United States last April. Training programs are set in the following communities:
  • Spencer -- 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, Iowa Lakes Community College Spencer Center, 1900 N. Grand Ave., Suite 8, Room 108
