AMES, Iowa -- Costas Soukoulis, professor of physics and astronomy at Iowa State University and senior physicist with the U.S. Department of Energys (DOE) Ames Laboratory, will receive an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Research Award.

Humboldt research awards are given annually to foreign scholars with internationally recognized academic qualifications. The recipients are invited to do research in Germany in collaboration with German scholars.
