Soy-based pavement technology replaces, renews 24 miles of rural Iowa roadways
Soy pavement technology developed by Iowa State engineers helped fix 24 miles of rural roads in northeast Iowa's Clayton and Fayette counties and the town of Volga. The "soy roads" used 12,000 to 15,000 bushels of soybeans and eliminated the need for 40,000 barrels of crude oil.

Inside the story of Iowa State's massive 'Silver Code' stage artwork
One of the university’s most significant artworks isn’t in a museum or sculpture garden. It is on the stage at Stephens Auditorium. “Giniro-no-kigou,” which translates roughly as “Silver Code,” is the auditorium's stage curtain, which has been on display at select performances since 1969, the year Stephens Auditorium opened.

Judi Eyles: Celebrating 30 years of leading entrepreneurship efforts at ISU
Judi Eyles joined the newly founded Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship in 1996. In 2017, she became director, guiding the center’s evolution into a globally recognized hub for entrepreneurial learning and innovation. Today, the center hosts entrepreneurship-focused programs like CYstarters, competitions like the College-by-College Pitch Off and the ISU Startup Factory incubator and more.
