Iowa State University to present 'A Christmas Carol'

Those words, uttered by Tiny Tim, are some of the most memorable in the history of the stage.

Now you can hear them again, or for the first time, as Iowa State University produces the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol," at Fisher Theater at the Iowa State Center, Ames.

ISU Theatre's version of the timeless holiday favorite is adapted and directed by Jane Cox, professor of music at Iowa State. It's faithful to the Dickens original, but uses four narrators to capture some of the show's more famous lines.

Performances are scheduled for Dec. 1, 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 and 11 at 2 p.m.

The cast includes more than 50 members, including several Ames-area children.

Tickets are $13 for adults, $12 for seniors and $7 for students.
