Modern Marvels to showcase Iowa State experts, wonders, uses, future of corn

AMES, Iowa -- The History Channel program "Modern Marvels" is exploring the topic of corn and will feature several Iowa State University experts Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The show airs again at 11 p.m.

The show airs on cable channel 45 on Mediacom in Ames and Des Moines. The show will also air on channel 269 for DirecTV customers and channel 120 for those with the Dish Network. Check your local listings in other parts of the state.

Iowa State University experts who will be on the show include Bruce Babcock, director of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development; Roger Elmore, Extension corn specialist; Larry Johnson, director of the Center for Crops Utilizations and Research Kendall Lamkey, chair of the department of agronomy; and Pat Schnable, director of the Center for Plant Genomics.
