Wet grounds, busy day alter gameday parking

Due to muddy conditions and standing water in the grass parking lots near Jack Trice Stadium, Iowa State University officials say they will have to redirect bus and recreational vehicle traffic at this Saturday's football game.

Buses, RVs and other heavy vehicles that are normally parked in the grass lots will be directed to paved lots near the College of Veterinary Medicine.

In addition, all public parking near the Iowa State Center (north of Center Drive) is expected to be limited this Saturday. With the Cyclone men's basketball game at 12:30 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum, a 5:30 p.m. home football game in Jack Trice Stadium, and other scheduled events, fans who normally park near the Iowa State Center may want to consider utilizing general staff, reserve or pay lots on central campus and walking or taking CyRide to these athletic events.

According to Athletics Department officials, there will be no changes to Cyclone Club parking for football, nearly all of which is paved. Basketball permits, with the exception of Courtside Club and East Ramp, will not be accepted in the Iowa State Center or stadium lots.
