Veishea task force will meet tonight; open forum is Friday

AMES, Iowa – The 2014 Veishea task force begins its work tonight.

Senior Vice President for Student Affairs Tom Hill, who is chairing the task force, said the group will meet for the first time from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Memorial Union Pioneer Room. The meeting is open to the public.

This will be the first of nine meetings of the task force, tentatively scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays through June 19.

In addition, several open forum discussions to gain community input will be scheduled over the next two months. The first open forum is set for 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 25, in the Memorial Union Great Hall. A live webcast will be available here: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/broadcasts/veishea/

The Veishea task force will provide a final report and recommendations to Iowa State University President Steven Leath by the end of June.
