HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CAN VIEW ISU FASHION SHOW "BEHIND THE SCENES"

AMES, Iowa – Iowa high school students interested in clothing and design can get a "behind the scenes" look at Iowa State University’s annual student-run fashion show, "Techno 2000," on April 7.

"Behind the Scenes" is an effort to provide high school students with an introduction to Iowa State degree programs in apparel merchandising, design and production, said J.R. Campbell, assistant professor of textiles and clothing and an event organizer.

Participants will tour the Iowa State campus and the College of Family and Consumer Sciences; meet admission counselors, faculty, and ISU students; visit department labs; and attend the opening night performance of "Techno 2000," the college’s annual fashion show.

Cost for the event is $8. To register online, go to www.fcs.iastate.edu/info/about/visit. For more information, contact the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at (515) 294-7243 or 1-800-522-0683; or email deptdays@iastate.edu.
