IOWA BUSINESS NETWORK OFFERS
MARKETING RESOURCES, STATISTICS

AMES, Iowa -- The Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC), based at Iowa State University, offers more than 45 articles and 75 links on marketing tips and resource information through the Iowa Business Network (IBN) site and new online newsletter.

The Iowa Business Network, a web site administered by the SBDC and sponsored by MidAmerican Energy and RSM McGladrey, offers several resource opportunities to entrepreneurs.

The site (www.iabusnet.org) offers: more than 45 archived articles on marketing topics and strategies, including information on E-commerce, analyzing market issues and defining customers; more than 75 links to sites offering detailed information on how to write a marketing plan, how to attract customers, guerilla marketing and more; specific market analyses for several targeted business categories including coin operated laundries, farmers’ markets, and construction; and information technology, including web page design to how to accept secured credit card payments.

The SBDC’s new free online newsletter, "Solutions," features articles such as marketing dos and don’ts, the importance of business appearance to customer appeal and how to turn online shoppers into buyers. To subscribe to "Solutions," visit the IBN.
