ROBINO IS EXECUTIVE-IN-RESIDENCE FOR COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

AMES, Iowa -- David J. Robino, former vice chairman for Gateway, Inc., is Iowa State University's College of Business executive-in-residence. He will be on campus April 19-20.

During his visit, Robino will speak to several classes and meet with the college's faculty.

His presentation on "Human Resources as a Competitive Advantage" will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, in 101 Design Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Robino joined Gateway in January, 1998, as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, leading the creation of Gateway's new headquarters complex in San Diego, CA. Promoted in January, 2000, Robino oversaw Gateway's legal, corporate communications, community relations, human resources, government relations, compliance and ethics and corporate administration functions.

Before joining Gateway, Robino was with AT&T, where he was a vice president in its $24 billion business market division. Prior to AT&T, Robino spent six years at AC Nielsen, where he was a senior vice president for international business. Previously, he had held positions at Pepsi-Cola and the Maytag Company.

Robino earned a master's of science degree in industrial relations from Iowa State University.
