CYCLONES UPDATE BANNER STAT AT CENTRAL CAMPUS EVENT ON FRIDAY

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State University Cyclone football team will celebrate a banner year Friday, Jan. 12, when they update their record on a central campus banner.

A cherry picker will hoist a member of the Cyclone football team to an Insight.com Bowl banner hanging high above Curtiss Hall at 11 a.m. The banner now reads 8-3, in reference to the Cyclone's regular season record. The player will replace the "8" with a large "9" to reflect the 37-29 Insight.com Bowl win over the University of Pittsburgh.

Cyclone coach Dan McCarney and interim Iowa State President Richard Seagrave will be at the event.

Curtiss Hall is on the east side of central campus, directly across from Beardshear Hall.
