In a typical construction season, the Iowa DOT has up to 500 road construction work zones set up statewide. The Web site features an interactive map of the state, which provides regularly updated information to motorists on specific roadwork projects. The information includes anticipated duration of the work, impacts on and suggestions for motorists, detour routes, and specific details of the project.
