IOWA STATE'S COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ANNOUNCES IMEP PARTNERSHIP; NAMES HABEGER DIRECTOR OF PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
AMES, Iowa -- Robin Habeger has been named Director of Partnership Development for the newly announced cooperative partnership between Iowa State University's College of Business and the Iowa Manufacturing Extension Partnership, (IMEP). The appointment was effective May 1.
Habeger will increase interaction between the College and the Iowa business community by marketing faculty's expertise and consulting services to the members of IMEP.
IMEP, created in 1994, provides business-oriented resources and guidance to more than two-thirds of Iowa manufacturers. Their assistance has enhanced business in Iowa by $15 million per year and IMEP plans to aid over 1,000 businesses in Iowa over the next two years.
"This is a win-win partnership for both parties," said Anthony Hendrickson, associate dean of academic programs. "The expertise of the faculty will benefit Iowa businesses and enhance economic development. At the same time, this partnership allows faculty to incorporate their consulting experiences into their classroom."
Habeger earned a master of business administration from Iowa State in 2001, a master's degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State in 1997, and a bachelor's degree from Iowa State in 1993.
Habeger's expertise encompasses the areas of marketing, client services, project management, liaison development, and organizational management with the Iowa Department of Transportation.
