ISU BUSINESS COLLEGE DEAN RECEIVES RESEARCH AWARD

AMES, Iowa -- Benjamin Allen, dean of Iowa State University's College of Business and distinguished professor of business adminstration, recently received the 1996 Distinguished Transportation Researcher Award from the Transportation Research Forum.

Allen's research focuses on the effects of regulatory policies on managerial practices and effeciency in the transportation industry, and changing carrier-shipper relationships.

The Transportation Research Forum is an independent organization of transportation professionals that provides an impartial meeting ground for carriers, shippers, government officials, consultants, university researchers, suppliers and other seeking an exchange of information and ideas related to both passenger and freight transportation.
