COLLEGE OF BUSINESS TO DEDICATE NEW UNDERGRADUATE CENTER

AMES, Iowa -- The Iowa State University College of Business will dedicate the Andersen Undergraduate Services Center Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. in room 204 of Carver Hall.

The center provides services including orientation of new freshman and transfer students, coordinating and advising all business majors and pre-business students, overseeing the college honors program, assisting with class scheduling and coordinating scholarships.

"The Andersen Undergraduate Services Center will greatly enhance the ability of the College of Business to effectively and efficiently meet the advising needs of the undergraduate students," said Benjamin Allen, dean of the College of Business. "This generous gift from alumni at the Andersen companies enables the College to provide one-stop advising service in a high quality space."

Gifts from ISU alumni employed by Arthur Andersen LLP and Andersen Consulting, combined with a matching corporate gift from the Andersen companies, funded the new center. Cost of the project was $90,000.
