CHINA'S YOUTH GOODWILL MISSION TO PERFORM AT ISU

AMES, Iowa -- Chinese culture will be on display in many forms when the Youth Goodwill Mission from Taipei, the Republic of China, comes to Iowa State University on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The Youth Goodwill Mission is known for its colorful and energetic performances, which feature Chinese dancing, ethnic songs, kung fu and folk art. The group comprises young performers from Taiwan's colleges and universities, will perform at C.Y. Stephens Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The event is free to the public.

The Youth Goodwill Mission promotes greater appreciation of Chinese customs and culture. The group is on its 20th international tour.

The performance is sponsored by the ISU Taiwanese Student Association, Alvin Edgar Fund for the Performing Arts, Office of International Students and Scholars, Office of Student Affairs, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (Chicago), Committee on Lectures and Government of the Student Body.
