FOUDIN TO SPEAK AT ISU ON AGRICULTURAL BIOTECHNOLOGY

AMES, Iowa -- Arnold Foudin, with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), will be speaking at Iowa State University on Feb. 8 on "Agricultural Biotechnology: The year 2006 and Beyond." The lecture will begin at 8 p.m. in room 210 in Bessey Hall.

Foundin is currently the deputy director for Biotechnology Permits, Biotechnology, Biologies, and Environmental Protection staff of APHIS. He joined APHIS in 1977 as Chief Survey Officer for the State of Missouri under the New National Plant Pest Survey Program.

He received his undergraduate degree at ISU in plant pathology and botany.
