HISPANIC ENGINEERS WILL HOST STUDENT LEADERSHIP FORUM

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University's student chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE-ISU) will host the 1996 Student Leadership Development Forum Nov. 15-17, at the ISU Memorial Union.

Approximately 200 engineering and science students from 25 regional chapters of the society are expected to attend the event, which promotes leadership and empowers young Hispanic American student leaders.

Activities include more than 20 workshops, an academic olympiad, guest speakers and tours of ISU facilities.

SHPE-ISU was founded in 1986 by a group of Latin American engineering students to help them reach their academic and cultural goals in the engineering field.

Additional information on the forum is available on the following World Wide Web site: http://www.public.iastate.edu/~maldonad/shpe.html.
