HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS

AMES, Iowa -- H. Charles Sakwa has withdrawn as a candidate for the position of assistant vice president for human resource services at Iowa State.

Sakwa, director of human resources management at Mississippi State University, Starkville, was among four finalists for the ISU position. The remaining finalists are Carla R. Espinoza, partner and a principal investigator with the personnel consulting firm Factfinders, Albuquerque, N.M.; Stephan G. Johnson, director of human resources services with Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., Johnston; Dianne M. Rulnick, former assistant vice president, quality programs, and director of university human resources at State University of New York, Stony Brook.

The campus community can meet Johnson during an open forum in the Memorial Union Gallery at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12. Rulnick's open forum is at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in the Memorial Union Pioneer Room. Espinoza already has visited campus.
