ISU SOLAR CAR TEAM ANNOUNCES ADOPT-A-SOLAR-CELL
CAMPAIGN
AMES, Iowa -- Summer isn't here yet, but you can "catch some rays" early by adopting a solar cell on PrISUm ExCYtor, Iowa State's new solar car.
Team PrISUm, ISU's solar car team, is continuing the Adopt-A- Solar-Cell campaign to raise money for completion of ExCYtor.
For a $25 donation, which is tax deductible, participants will sponsor one of over 900 solar cells on the car. Contributors will receive an adoption packet that includes a certificate and the location of the adopted cell. The $25 includes the cost of buying, connecting and weatherproofing one cell. Participants can adopt more than one cell.
Team PrISUm is a student organization dedicated to designing, building and racing solar cars. Since 1990, Team PrISUm has entered three cars in Sunrayce events. Sunrayce '97 begins in Indianapolis, on June 19, and ends in Colorado Springs, Colo., June 28.
