Each finalist will visit Iowa State in the next couple of weeks to interview and meet with university groups. The campus community can meet each candidate during a one-hour open forum. All forums begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be in the Alumni Suite of the Memorial Union. The forum schedule is:

Monday, May 5 -- McGinley

Combs has served for 10 years as general manager of Dayton Public Radio, which includes WDPR-FM and WDPG-FM in Dayton and Greenville, Ohio. He also was director of marketing and development for Mt. He has held positions with a community action organization, council on rural service programs and other radio stations in Ohio. He received the B.S. in business/marketing from The Union Institute, Cincinnati, in 1985.

McGinley has been station manager at KASU Radio at Arkansas State for the past two years. At Mankato State, he also chaired the mass communications institute, directed the regional TV center and taught. He received a B.A. in radio/TV from University of Montana, Missoula, in 1966, and M.A. in radio/TV from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1968.

Wirth has served as business manager for WOI Radio for the past three years and interim manager over the past year. Previously, Wirth served as controller, benefits coordinator and personnel manager for Iowa State University Broadcasting Corp.; business manager for WOI-AM/FM/TV; and business manager for the Student Health Service at Iowa State.

He also has served as budget analyst, management analyst and revenue examiner for the Iowa Department of Revenue, Des Moines. He received a B.S. in industrial administration from Iowa State in 1972.

The new manager will succeed Rick Lewis, who left ISU last summer to become director of programming for Audible Words, Inc., a high-tech start-up company near New York City.
