ERNST & YOUNG VICE CHAIRMAN TO SERVE AS EXECUTIVE-IN- RESIDENCE AT ISU

AMES, Iowa -- Dennis Purdum, vice chairman and regional managing partner at Ernst & Young LLP, New York, will serve as an executive-in-residence at Iowa State University's College of Business. Purdum will speak at an open forum Thursday, Feb. 13, at 3:30 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

The executive-in-residence program brings top senior-level business leaders to campus to interact with students, faculty, staff and administrators. Visiting business leaders share professional experiences, give overviews of their industries and provide an external perspective on the college's programs.

Purdum has served as vice chairman and regional managing partner for Ernst & Young's East/Great Lakes region since 1993. Prior to this position, he was managing partner for Ernst & Young's Houston office.

Purdum is active in several civic and professional organizations including the American Institute of Public Accountants and the National Board of Directors of Junior Achievement.

Purdum received a BSBA degree in accounting from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1967.
