ISU TO HOST RECEPTION FOR CRABTREE MAY 1

AMES, Iowa -- ISU College of Family and Consumer Sciences Dean Beverly Crabtree will be honored at a retirement reception hosted by the college Thursday, May 1, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union. A program highlighting Crabtree's accomplishments at Iowa State will begin at 4:15 p.m.

Crabtree will step down as dean on June 30. She will remain on the faculty in her position as professor of family and consumer sciences education and studies through the 1997-98 academic year.

At the reception, Crabtree will be presented with a collection of letters of tribute from ISU faculty, staff, and students, as well as friends and alumni of CFCS. Letters can be sent to: Maurice MacDonald, professor and chair, human development and family studies, 1092 LeBaron, Iowa State University, Ames, IA 50021. Letters should be submitted by April 25.
