EATON TO TAKE POSITION AT PENN STATE

AMES, Iowa -- Nancy Eaton, dean of library services, is leaving Iowa State University to become dean of the university libraries at Pennsylvania State University, University Park. Penn State announced the appointment today, May 6.

Eaton's appointment takes effect Sept. 1.

"Nancy Eaton is a national leader in information technology and, under her leadership, the Iowa State University library system has made remarkable progress," said ISU president Martin Jischke. "Her accomplishments have contributed significantly to Iowa State's reputation as a research university, and have provided long-lasting benefits for faculty, staff and students and other users of the Iowa State library."

Eaton has been dean of library services at Iowa State since 1989.
