ENLOE NAMED INTERIM DIRECTOR OF ISU WOMEN'S CENTER

AMES, Iowa -- Lisa Enloe, Ames, has been named interim director of Iowa State University's Margaret Sloss Women's Center.

Celia Naylor-Ojurongbe, director of the Women's Center since July 1993, recently left the position and plans to move to Albuquerque, N.M., where she will complete work on her doctoral dissertation in history from Duke University, Durham, N.C.

Enloe has worked for the Center for Creative Justice in Ames since 1994, serving as a corrections coordinator and a mediation coordinator. She also is a sociology instructor at Grandview College, Des Moines. She also worked for many years as a family counselor at the Center for Personal Development in Ames. Enloe received her B.A. in sociology from Illinois State University, Normal, and her M.A. in sociology from Iowa State University.

As interim director, Enloe will provide advocacy, referral services and programming for the ISU community. She also will coordinate women's programs and celebrations; manage the center's central campus facility, budget, staff and students; and work with and report jointly to the dean of students and the assistant provost for academic affairs.

A search for a permanent director of the Women's Center will be announced at a later date.
