ISU RANKS IN NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLAR TOP 15

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University ranks in the top 15 universities nationwide that enroll National Merit Scholars, according to a new annual report.

The National Merit Corporation's 1996-97 report ranks ISU 15th among all universities enrolling Merit Scholars and sixth among all public universities. ISU enrolled 110 National Merit Scholars in the fall of 1997.
