GREGOIRE TO BECOME CHAIR OF HOTEL, RESTAURANT AND INSTITUTION MANAGEMENT

AMES, Iowa -- Mary Gregoire has been appointed as a professor and chair for the department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences effective Aug. 1.

Gregoire comes to Iowa State from Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center/Rush University, Chicago, where she has served as a professor of food service management since 1994. She was also serving as the Associate Director of St. Luke's Medical Center.

Gregoire is replacing Tom Walsh, who has gone on phased retirement. Walsh served as head of the department from 1982 to 1997. Donna Cowan served as interim DEO.
