ISU DESIGN STUDENTS WILL DISPLAY 'ROME WORK' IN GALLERY 181

AMES, Iowa--The artwork of Iowa State University design students who studied in Italy will be on display in Gallery 181, College of Design, Monday, Feb. 16, through Friday, Feb. 20.

Thirty-six students spent four months Rome last year, studying Italy's people, history and customs. The Gallery 181-1 exhibit will feature artwork the students did while abroad. The exhibit will include photography, sketching and watercolors.

The students were enrolled as full-time ISU students through the art and design study abroad program. Each student took 12 to 15 credit hours. They were able to take various classes while in Rome, including photography, drawing, watercolor, history of Rome, interior design studio and two-dimensional mixed media.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery 181 is in the atrium of the College of Design and open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
