IOWA BUSINESS NETWORK WEB SITE OFFERS Y2K HELP

AMES, Iowa -- To help small businesses prepare for the millennium bug (Y2K), the Iowa Small Business Development Center, Ames, has integrated a Y2K section on its Iabusnet.org site.

The Y2K site outlines the nature of the problems, offers several solutions, and a variety of resource sites, including those offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Iowa State University and the Iowa Manufacturers Technology Center (IMTC).

The IMTC offers Y2K classes and seminars can be accessed by going to www.iabusnet.org, clicking on the Web Resources section, and choosing Iowa Small Business/Resource Links, then going to the IMTC section. In the same area, chose the heading "Center for Industrial Research and Service" (CIRIS) to links to software and hardware vendor-specific sites.

Questions can be directed to the Business Answer Center online to be answered by SBDC personnel.
