IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES Ph.D. PROGRAM IN HEALTH AND HUMAN PERFORMANCE

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University will offer a new Ph.D. program in health and human performance.

The Iowa Board of Regents, State of Iowa, recently approved the new program, which is housed in ISU's College of Education.

The program offers students a broad-based training within the health and human performance curriculum, as well as a more specialized research focus. The degree enhances job placement in academic employment or in the areas of corporate physical activity research or product design.

"The Ph.D. program prepares scholar/practitioners who can adapt to the rapid changes in the study of physical activity and its relationship to health and well-being," Thomas said.

For more information on this new program, contact Thomas at the health and human performance department at (515) 294- 8009.
