ISU COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ANNOUNCES HOMECOMING EVENTS

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University’s College of Business is planning several events for Homecoming.

On Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. in Room 205 of Carver Hall, a panel of alumni and faculty will discuss technology in the work place. The event is free and open to the public. Panelists include: Kenneth Thome, senior vice president of financial operations, General Mills, (alum 1969), Citation of Achievement; Craig Petermeier, president and CEO, Jacobson Warehouse Co., (alum 1978), Citation of Achievement; Carol E. Jensen, information analyst for Motorola, (alum 1988), Alumni Medal; and Russell Laczniak, ISU professor of marketing, Faculty Award. Topics will include: Major challenges facing industry; technology and its impact on industry; how can the business college prepare students for a technology-oriented workforce; most valuable ISU experience; the keys to business success; and the importance of continuing education.

Other events on Oct. 29 include a reception for alumni honorees at 3:30 p.m. in Carver Hall; a reception and banquet at 5:30 p.m. in the Scheman Building; and an Award Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. in Benton Auditorium, Scheman Building.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, a tailgate event will be held at Jack Trice Stradium before the 11:30 a.m. game.
