ISU’S SCHUH EARNS EDUCATIONAL HONORS

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University education professor John Schuh has been honored by two organizations for his work in the field of student affairs.

Schuh has been named as recipient of the S. Earl Thompson Award from the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International. The award recognizes Schuh’s contributions to the college and university housing fields.

He also has been named a Diamond Anniversary Honoree by the American College Personnel Association’s Educational Leadership Foundation. The designation, given in observance of the association’s 75th anniversary, recognizes Schuh’s work in the field of student affairs.

Schuh joined Iowa State in 1997 and is the chair of educational leadership and policy studies at ISU’s College of Education. He was formerly the director of residence life for Indiana University and the associate vice-president for student affairs at Wichita State University.
