When Paul Lasley retired from teaching at Iowa State, he promised himself he would learn to play the violin. But when his favorite violin broke, Lasley decided that he should try to fix it. The repairs looked and sounded good, so he decided to fix up other broken or worn out violins to donate to young children who couldn't afford an instrument of their own. Lasley wants to pass along his passion for music to the next generation, so he does it by donating his fixed up violins to area schools and students in need.
