23rd annual Iowa State Fashion Show is April 16 at Stephens Auditorium

AMES, Iowa -- For the first time in its 23-year history, the Iowa State University Textiles and Clothing Fashion Show will be in Stephens Auditorium, Iowa State Center, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to view student exhibits.

This year's theme for the show is "Spektrum," which describes the wide array of colors, themes and ideas behind garment designs. The show will feature student-created casual, collection (casual, urban, children's) and evening wear designs, in addition to Best of Show and graduate competitions. The show also will feature cutting-edge, digitally printed fashions.

A special guest at this year's show is Oliver Helden, New York City. Helden, who designs his own men's wear line, also is a technical director for Marc by Marc Jacobs--New York City.
