Media advisory: Iowa Farm Bureau commits $1 million to ISU's bioeconomy program

AMES, Iowa -- A news event will be held Monday to announce a $1 million gift from the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation to support Iowa State University's Bioeconomy Program. The program will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Iowa Farm Bureau Pavilion in Kildee Hall at Iowa State.

Speakers at the event include:

  • Gregory Geoffroy, president of Iowa State University
  • Wendy Wintersteen, dean of the Iowa State University College of Agriculture Craig Lang, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation president
  • Robert Brown, director of the Iowa State Office of Biorenewables Programs and Bergles Professor in Thermal Science
