ISU unveils state-of-the-art veterinary cancer facility

Iowa State's College of Veterinary Medicine has opened a new facility equipped to provide stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT), for pets with cancer. SRT is able to send high doses of radiation to a very focused area, reducing side effects and the number of treatments. For years, pet owners in Iowa had to travel as far as Milwaukee, WI or Ft. Collins, CO to get this kind of advanced treatment.
