ISU Fulbright scholars fulfill role as citizen ambassadors

This year, several international students and scholars spent time teaching Iowa middle school students about their different backgrounds and cultures. The students are part of the Fulbright Program, and they came to America to study, but also to take part in a cultural exchange. This is the first year that this cultural exchange has extended beyond the college campus. Middle school students in Van Meter have spent the semester learning about the countries and cultures of the Fulbright scholars. And they've had several opportunities to talk with them directly to learn more about parts of the world that they haven't experienced yet.
