The reasons more women are running for political office this year

More women than ever before are running for political office this year, and there are a number of reasons why. According to Tessa Ditonto, assistant professor of political science at Iowa State, one of the biggest reasons that women cite for their activism is the election of Donald Trump. But the election of so many women could also have big policy implications as well.
