Spaceflight operations workshop

Clayton Anderson, a retired U.S. astronaut and Distinguished Faculty Fellow at Iowa State University, designed a one-of-a-kind workshop to teach students about the operational aspects of spaceflight training. Six aerospace engineering students were selected to participate in the workshop, which includes skydiving, scuba certification, wilderness survival and flight simulator training. Anderson's goal is to create better graduates by exposing them to training he received as an astronaut.
