Earthquake relief fund-raiser Oct. 20

ISU's Pakistan Students Association will hold a fund-raising event tonight (Oct. 20) at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall, Memorial Union, to benefit victims of the earthquake in Pakistan. Jane Dawson, senior lecturer in geological and atmospheric sciences, will provide perspective on the recent earthquake, and a video depicting the devastation will be shown. The Pakistan Students Association has already sent food and blankets to earthquake victims, but hopes to do more with support from the ISU community. "Please join us and help raise more funds," said Kaiser Kaiserani, president of the Pakistan Students Association. "Even a $1 contribution would buy two full meals for a person in the affected area. We really need your help." For more information, contact Kaiserani at (515) 441-0226.
